How-to guides
Getting started
Create a free account, confirm your age range and country, and receive your starter collection and free packs.
Open your packs
Go to Packs to open earned packs. Results are decided by the server before the reveal, so they can't be manipulated.
Build a battle deck
Decks contain exactly 8 different cards you own. Your starter collection already makes a full deck.
Learn the battle rules
Short, clear rules: energy, turns, class traits, and how to win a 3–5 minute solo battle.
Season pass rules
How XP unlocks 30 tiers of shards and packs, and when Season 1 ends on December 1, 2026.
Daily quiz & activities
Answer the daily AI quiz and complete activities to earn extra packs and shards.
Get battle advice
The AI coach looks at your deck, collection and match log and suggests concrete improvements.
Frequently asked questions
Is ModelCards free?
Yes. Every pack is earned free through play — starter packs, daily rewards, quiz and battle wins. There are no paid packs and nothing to buy.
Are these real AI products?
Yes. Every card is inspired by a real AI assistant or model (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and more) with sourced, factual descriptions. Game stats are fictional and just for fun. ModelCards is an independent fan project, not affiliated with or endorsed by any AI company.
Why can't I sign up from my country?
Gameplay launches in Canada and the United States only. Catalog browsing and privacy support remain available elsewhere.
I picked the wrong age or country. How do I fix it?
Age and country are recorded once for safety. Send a support request and an administrator will review and correct it.
How do I get more cards?
Open your free packs, claim the daily free pack, answer the daily quiz, win your first battle each day, and craft cards from shards earned by recycling duplicates.
What are shards?
Recycling duplicate cards earns shards. Shards can be spent to craft specific cards you are missing. Your shard balance and history are visible in Activities.
Can other players see my profile?
No — profiles are private by default. Only eligible adults can choose to publish a profile, and sharing decks or battle history is always optional. Email addresses, age ranges and raw match logs are never public.
How does the leaderboard work?
It counts verified normal and hard solo battle wins. Battles are replayed on our server to confirm the result before they count.
How do I report a player?
Use the report option on their public profile, or send a private support request. Administrators can restrict community sharing or all gameplay, and you can appeal through support.
How do I delete my account or get my data?
Download your account data any time from Help & privacy while signed in. Deletion requests are tracked and reviewed by an administrator.
Policies & safety
Accounts & countries
Gameplay launches in Canada and the United States. Country and age selections are recorded once. Contact support for corrections. Catalog browsing and privacy support remain available elsewhere.
Parents & children
Under-13 gameplay requires a linked adult’s consent and administrator approval. Children create an invitation in Account; a parent signs in to their own adult account and submits it. Administrators review the request before access is granted. Parents can pause gameplay, packs and rewards, or revoke consent. Under-13 AI advice is disabled.
Public profiles
Profiles are private by default. Only eligible adults can publish a profile. Shared decks and battle history are optional. Email addresses, age ranges and raw match logs are never published.
Leaderboard & battles
The leaderboard counts verified normal and hard solo battle wins. Older battles without a server-issued session do not count. Decks contain eight distinct owned cards.
Packs & rewards
Packs are earned free; there are no paid randomized packs. Current reward amounts appear in your collection and activities. Administrators may update future rewards; existing claims are not changed.
Reports & appeals
Report a public player from their profile, or send a private support request. Administrators can restrict community sharing or all gameplay. Send a support request to appeal a restriction.
Privacy & account data
Download your account data from Help & privacy while signed in. Deletion requests are tracked and administrator-reviewed; automated permanent deletion is not yet available. Do not send passwords or identity documents in support messages.
